As Australia’s youth climate movement faces the growing crisis of rising climate change impacts and an increasingly volatile political and social environment, burnout, disengagement and fragmentation among young activists is a growing threat. ECOMIND is working with a team of researchers and young people to design a climate mental health certificate to help young Australians look after themselves, each other and the planet.
ECOMIND – Australia’s leading youth climate mental health and wellbeing charity – has launched the ECOMIND Certificate, a new flagship program designed to strengthen the resilience of young climate leaders and the organisations they power.
ECOMIND works alongside groups such as the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC), delivering workshops, Climate Cafés and advocacy initiatives that support the mental health and wellbeing of young people leading climate campaigns across the country.
The ECOMIND Certificate aims to build a stronger, more sustainable youth climate movement by equipping activists and organisations with practical tools to protect wellbeing, reduce burnout and stay engaged for the long term.
Supporters are invited to sponsor a Certificate to help care for one or more climate leaders working to protect the planet. Sponsorships can support individual youth activists, youth climate organisations, or enable organisations to become certified themselves.
