The Ethinvest teams in Melbourne and Sydney will host drinks and screenings of Damon Gameau’s new film, the Future Council, following eight children on the ultimate school excursion to meet powerful leaders across Europe to find solutions to our greatest environmental challenges. Please join us and bring a friend who might like to learn more about ethical and impact investing.
Ethinvest advisers and staff will host the film events at the Kino Cinema in Melbourne on Wednesday, 22 October and the Dendy in Newtown (Sydney) on Monday, 27 October for drinks and the movie as part of Ethical Investment month.
This new documentary sees young people including Australia’s 14-year-old Ruby Rodgers - granddaughter of rock legend Jimmy Barnes - voice their fears about the future of the planet and meet with corporate leaders to ask for change.
When singer/songwriter Ruby found herself surrounded by other young people from around the world voicing their fears about the climate crisis, she was surprised to find herself crying. Can she and seven others move the conversation from the streets into the boardrooms? What happens when they challenge the world’s biggest polluters face-to-face?
Watch the movie trailer and book your free ticket (links below) for the screening and a catch up with the Ethinvest team.
We encourage you to bring along a friend who would like to learn more about how investing ethically and with impact scan help support the solutions in sectors from social housing and climate change to recycling and healthcare. Looking forward to seeing you there!
