Trevor Thomas

Trevor joined Ethinvest, Australia's oldest ethical financial advisory, in 1997 and was appointed Executive Chair in July 2026, after 18 years as Managing Director.

Prior to Ethinvest, Trevor spent six years in South America working in economic development. He began his career as an economist for one of Australia's major banks, as well as AP Dow Jones Telerate. He holds an Economics degree from Sydney University and an MBA from Eastern University in Philadelphia. In 2003, Trevor became a Certified Financial Planner.

Trevor is a trustee of various philanthropic organisations, including the John T Reid Charitable Trusts, the Ethinvest Foundation and the Community Impact Foundation. He is passionate about global justice and advocacy and has served as a staff member and the board of Tearfund Australia. He is currently Chair of Micah Australia, and on the boards of the Darwin Challenge and the Bowerbird Collective. 

 

In his leisure time, he enjoys running, reading and keeping up with current affairs.
