A number of Ethinvest clients have asked us how they can support compassionate aid to those impacted by conflict in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world. We’ve asked our expert NGO and philanthropy friends who suggested the Red Cross Australia’s Middle East Crisis Appeal, working across all regions of the conflict, or giving personally via the new Charitabl app to an aid organisation you already know and trust.
As citizens of the world, there's no denying that our hearts break for the ongoing acts of violence that are taking place around the world. Many more suffer in countries where spending on education, health and basic services have been cut as the result of a surge in military spending at the expense of aid and development budget cuts in the US and UK.
If you are struggling to find time to contact your favourite charities, there is a new app for your personal giving called Charitabl that you can download on your phone and quickly and easily donate to the charity of your choice. The Ethinvest team has been talking to the founders, who come from the charitable sector, about their simple and frictionless app helping people to donate. It’s quick and seamless, and through it, you can make payments to all registered charities in Australia securely in seconds.
If you are thinking about personal giving before the end of the financial year, Charitabl is worth trying for donations to the Red Cross or any charity you feel can support those in need in these challenging times.
