Ethical Investment

Ethical investment involves directing your investments in accordance with your social and environmental convictions – and avoiding investment in areas to which you are opposed. One of our first tasks in a new client relationship is to develop an understanding of your values, and the factors that we need to consider when developing appropriate financial strategies for you.

A positive ethical investment for a conservationist, for example, may be investing in a company that supports solar energy or re-forestation projects. Companies involved in mining or logging in environmentally sensitive areas would be avoided.

Research undertaken on the financial performance of ethically screened investments in Australia and overseas has established that investors can achieve highly competitive financial results from ethically screened investments – from term deposits to superannuation and share investments.
